Bardock is a Saiyan warrior from the *Dragon Ball Z* franchise, primarily known for his role in the 1990 TV special, *Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku*.
He is Goku's father and is depicted as a low-class Saiyan soldier who, through a series of events, gains the ability to see into the future. This vision reveals Frieza's impending betrayal and plan to destroy Planet Vegeta.
Bardock attempts to warn his fellow Saiyans and rally them against Frieza, but is met with disbelief. He ultimately confronts Frieza's army alone and is killed along with Planet Vegeta. Despite his efforts, he fails to prevent the planet's destruction, but his actions lay the groundwork for Goku's eventual confrontation with Frieza.
